Big Boy Bed

As you can see, we did purchase Micah's "big boy bed" this week! I pulled out the comforter I had been saving for the occasion and Micah enjoyed looking at the all the different trucks and bouncing around on the mattress. We haven't put him in there to sleep yet--we are sidelined by an illness of some sort (he has a Dr. appt. today) but hopefully, we'll be able to try that out soon. For now, we have both the bed and the crib in the room. I don't think we'll have any problems getting him excited about the idea of sleeping in the bed, although there might not be a whole lot of sleeping going on in there for a few weeks! We've "toddler-proofed" his room, complete with locks on the closets so hopefully we'll avoid any boo-boos in the night. It's Spring Break here and Dan has been working on finishing the trim all over the house and touching up other rooms we've painted. It's really looking good! He even brought me some purple tulips to cheer me up since I've also been ill this week. I'm hoping that Micah will start to feel better soon and we can enjoy spending some "healthy" time together this week--I am off on Thursday and Friday!

One...Two...Three

Micah wearing some 3D glasses

We had a great weekend! It was sunny and warm on Saturday, so we played outside and Micah perfected his climbing on the playset. Recently, he's been interested in counting, so we've been reading some counting books and in this video, you can hear him "count" the magnets on the refrigerator. Usually it's more like "one, five, six, four, six," but you get the idea! You can also see that he got a haircut--we buzzed it last weekend. Dan's busy with rehearsals for Seussical the Musical, which goes up April 15 at OBU. I think we'll try taking Micah this time!

Good morning!

Here are some shots of our morning. Micah loves his kiwi slices! "Aunt" Dot passed away last night. I have some wonderful memories of her and her house filled with pictures. I'm thankful that we got to visit her in December (photos are posted in the January blog entries). She was a wonderful example of what it means to love people and love God. I know she will be missed.
